At BMS Mitre 10, we endeavour to provide consistent, high quality customer service. All our staff are trained in our customer service policy and practice. In addition, we provide a wide range of services to assist our customers in whatever task or project they are working on.

We happily give you free quotes on products and services you may require.
If you’re too busy, or don’t have appropriate transport, we deliver your purchases.
But, of course, we have plenty of car parking as well.

Special Orders

At BMS Mitre 10 we always carry a wide range of products in stock, but there may be an occasion where you won’t find what you are looking for – the product you want may no longer be available; or a product that we have in stock is not exactly what you are looking for. When this happens, we are happy to try to find a product or an alternative that will meet your needs for a comparable price.

If you already have information about a product, but find the item is not stocked in the store, ask one of our friendly staff if the product can be ordered. The more information you have about the product (manufacturer, model name, etc.), the easier it will be to locate the item.

Once we have found a supplier for the product, we will call you and tell you exactly how much the product will cost and how long it will take to get here. If you are happy, we will order the product for you.

When your item(s) arrives at the store, one of our staff members will phone and let you know your order is available for pick up or delivery.

In order to prevent errors and mistakes:

A deposit of 20% is required at time of order.  The balance will be due upon delivery.

Returns of Special Order merchandise for reasons other than defects are not guaranteed, and may not be accepted without a return charge

Please plan for adequate lead time from the manufacturer when placing special order.  We can and do expedite orders, but manufacturer supply time are many times completely beyond our control


Can’t fit it in the car? We offer a regular 6 day a week delivery service at competitive rates, so you can get your new products home safe and sound.

BMS Mitre 10 has its own fleet of delivery vehicles and crane trucks which allows us to supply efficiently and economically to areas across South East Queensland, South West Queensland, interstate and abroad.

We know that our builders cannot succeed without a reliable building supplier. So BMS Mitre 10 has developed unique internal processes and work culture to deliver supplies in a reliable manner.

Paint and Colour Advice

Feel like painting your room a fresh new colour? Come in and choose from our wide variety of colour charts, and we can mix the paint while you wait.

Need advice? Our specialist paint team are well trained in paint mixing and colour so that we can help you choose great colour palettes on your current project.

Timber Cutting

BMS Mitre 10 offers a Timber Cutting service to our customers. We can cut timber to the size you require. Charges apply for this service. For further information, please speak to one of our Mighty Helpful staff members.

Local Garden Experts

BMS Mitre 10 has an award winning garden centre. We offer an excellent range of quality plants, seeds and bulbs, along with potting mixes, chemicals (organic and non-organic), garden related products, pots, lawn products and garden tools. Our garden centre staff are qualified horticulturalists, and are keen gardeners themselves.

They will be happy to assist you with garden and plant advice, including identifying samples of pest and disease damage (be sure to pop specimens in a sealed plastic bag before bringing it into the store for identification).

Our selection of pots, garden sculptures and water features is complemented by a fabulous range of plants.

Colour Matching

When it comes to matching paint colours, achieving the perfect colour for a particular wall or project can be a fine art. You may have exactly the colour you are looking for on a plate, a picture, curtains or any other item.

If you want to achieve a perfect match or find a truly unique colour, our colour matching service can help. Bring your colour sample in to either of our stores and our friendly and experienced staff can match the colour and then tint the paint you purchase to that colour at no charge.

And best of all, it only takes minutes!

Paint Tinting

BMS Mitre 10 has the latest colour matching and paint tinting technology. Our staff are highly trained and have the experience to look across all our paint ranges and find just the right colour to suit you.

We will be pleased to assist you with all the materials and advice that you need to make your painting project a complete success.

Key Cutting

We can cut single and double-sided keys for door locks, cars, padlocks etc.
We have a key cutting machine in all of our stores.

Gas Cylinders

Having a BBQ tonight, or going away for the weekend? Drop into any BMS Mitre 10 store, where we can fill any cylinder up to 9kg.

Otherwise swap for a fresh gas bottle every time using our Quick Swap service.

It’s fast and easy! No waiting to have your gas bottle refilled. Swap for a fresh gas bottle every time. You own the gas bottle you receive. It sounds too good to be true but it’s not! You can swap any brand and any size of BBQ bottle at BMS Mitre 10.

In return, you’ll receive an inspected, tested and safely filled bottle. Once you have a Quick Swap bottle you never have to worry about checking test dates every time you swap, it will always be in date.

Using a Mitre 10 Gift card is easy – just follow these simple steps:

  1. Present your card at any cash desk with the goods that you wish to purchase.
  2. You can select any number of gifts up to the value of the card, or above the value of the card and make up the difference with another form of payment.
  3. Our friendly staff with validate the card and process your purchase.
  4. Mitre 10 Gift Cards are partially redeemable. This means that any time within the 12 month validity period, any available balance can be used to make purchases. However, any unused balance cannot be refunded or credited if you haven’t used the card by the expiry date.


  1. Treat the Gift Card like cash. Defaced, mutilated, altered, lost or stolen cards will not be replaced, refunded or redeemed.
  2. Gift Cards are:
  • Redeemable for merchandise or services at participating Mitre 10 stores in Australia displaying “Mitre 10 Gift Cards accepted here” sign.
  • Not redeemable for cash and cannot be used for payment of credit or retailer accounts.
  • Must be redeemed before expiry date shown on Card.
  • Will be void and may not be redeemed after expiry date.
  • Cannot be reloaded.
  • Is partially redeemable.
  1. It is up to you to use the full value before expiry date. Cash will not be given for any unused balance. Unused balance on expiry of this Card will not be refunded or credited. If purchase exceeds available Card balance, you must make up difference with another payment method. You are liable for all transactions on your Card except to extent to which there has been fraud or negligence by us or any of our employees.
